Dear Participants,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for a great event. The YIDM 2017 is our fifth event since its first inauguration in 2011. We have participants coming from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong to attend this year event in Indonesia. The YIDM 2017 was hosted in Serpong, a new city beside the Jakarta city. The organisers were a joint effort of Drift47 and Jiban Racing Academy.
We had 4 classes of event this year: Open CS Class, Yokomo CS Class, Open RWD Class, and Yokomo RWD Class. We had total of more than 70+ participants. We were fortunate to have Mr. Ueno Takahiro and Mr. Masami Hirosaka as our guest judges.
I was glad to see many new and old faces in this event, especially our Indonesia friends. They are very supportive to this event and have lend their hands in marking the 2nd time YIDM is being held in their country. (Note: YIDM 2012 was held in Surabaya, Indonesia)
Thanks to the arrangement of Indonesian drifter, Mr. Amandio, Ueno was doing the drifting demo on Saturday night. He was showing his great skill and control of the car in the parking lot. He also enjoys Mie Ayam..... a favourite Indonesia local dish.
After 3 days of intense drifting, amid some setback from the unpredictable weather, we are glad to announce that YIDM 2017 was successfully held. Winners were crowned and we have Mr. Opan (Yokomo RWD class) from Jakarta, Indonesia and Mr. Timmy (Yokomo CS class) from Hong Kong, joining us in the Yokomo World Cup 2017 which will be held in Yatabe Arena, Japan, during the month of December.
We are grateful to our sponsors, especially Team YOKOMO Japan, for their support and generous prizes. See you again in YIDM 2018!!!!!
Please stay tuned for the full video documentary of YIDM 2017.
