Yokomo International Drift Meeting is OPENED for registration

Dear Readers,

We are pleased to announce the opening for registration for Yokomo International Drift Meeting 2011.  Details as follow:

Date: 4^th ~ 6^th November 2011

Venue: Tropicana City Mall (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Registration Fees:

1.       Entry fee is RM 200.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Two Hundreds only).  The fee includes the following:

a.       1 unit of ORCA 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor

b.      1 set of drift tires (4 pieces tires only)

c.       Dinner banquet  x 1 person

a.       Last date of entry fee payment will be 30^th September 2011

b.      Late entries will be charged at RM 300.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Three Hundreds only) from 1^st October 2011 to 31^st October 2011.

c.       No entries will be entertained after 31^st October 2011.

Masami Hirosaka confirmed to be JUDGE for YOKOMO IDM 2011

Mr. Masami Hirosaka confirms his attendance for YOKOMO International Drift Meeting 2011 in Kuala Lumpur this November.  Thank you, TEAM YOKOMO!

Draft Race Regulations

            1.        For the Qualifying Round, each participant will have one warm-up lap followed by three judged runs. Base on the three runs, highest score run will be chosen as the official Qualifying point of the participant.

2.       Base on the qualifying scores, participants will be divided into several groups named as ‘Main’, i.e. A-Main, B-Main, C-Main, etc.

3.       Of each Main, there will be a maximum of 16 participants for the Tandem Battle. The battles will be organized similar to the D1GP Best-16 structure.

4.       During the call for each participant’s turn in Qualifying and Tandem, participants are given two-minutes to start the race. Disqualification will be given to the participants if the time given is not met.

5.       Same bodyshell and chassis must be used from Qualifying onwards.

6.       Judging criteria will be brief by the Judges before the Qualifying round.

7.       All chassis and transmitter will be compounded after each run.

8.       Organizer has the right to perform scrutinizing during any time of the event without prior notice.

9.       Any participation and registration after the declared closing date will not be entertained.

10.   All judges and organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants who do not abide to the rules and regulations set mention above.

Draft Technical Rules & Regulations:-

1.       All participants are only permitted to use 1/10 scale electric RC cars with Counter-steer setup (rear overdrive). The chassis can be either belt-driven or shaft-driven.

2.       Chassis weight and height will not be limited.

3.       With counter-steer setup, any gear ratios are permitted.

4.       All participants must only use the supplied control motor during qualifying and race (tandem battle). Participants are not allowed to modify or open the motor. *Organizer will announce the motor specifications.

5.       Any types of ESCs are allowed.

6.       All battery brands and capacity of Li-Po (2 cells), Ni-MH and Ni-Cd (6 cells, 7.2V) are allowed.

7.       All participants must only use supplied control drift tires. Any types of wheels are allowed.  *Organizer will announce the tire specifications. 

8.       All participants must only use Yokomo 1/10 scale drift body shells while competing whereby the bodyshell must be painted. Any types of add-on bodykits, spoilers, wings, lightings and stickers are allowed.

9.   All cars must observe minimum ride height of 5mm ground clearance.
